    Minecraft: Pi Edition v0.1.1 is a modified version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition Alpha v0.6.1 designed to run on the Raspberry Pi.[1] It is the most popular and second version of Minecraft: Pi Edition, and the first to be officially released.[2][3]

    Relation to Pocket Edition[edit | edit source]

    Minecraft: Pi Edition is a modified version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition Alpha v0.6.1, ported to the Raspberry Pi. There are major differences, including several disabled features.[4]

    • Sneaking (two years before it was added in Pocket Edition in v0.12.1[5])

    Other Differences[edit | edit source]

    • The username is always "StevePi".
    • Pi Edition uses the Xperia Play UI instead of the Touch UI one, and uses the static water texture.
